Denmark’s largest waste management company, Vestforbrænding is able to recycle 12% of its daily waste only. So to increase recycle amount they have initiated this international challenge. The challenge is to design a user friendly outdoor sorting-can that fits the private Danish household.

The Longmont Waste Diversion Center at 140 Martin Street will hold a free shredding event from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday, October 12. Damp documents from the September flood will be accepted if they are mostly dry and not moldy. Please bring a copy of your most recent Longmont utility bill to show that you pay the waste management fee. This event is for residential documents only; no business materials will be accepted.
