Exteriors - designs, designer façade, shatto recreation center, steven ehrlich architects, architecture

Architects: Steven Ehrlich Architects + in collaboration with artist Ed Moses

Mix some cross stitch, some ikat, some ancient calligraphy and Aztec architecture on a wall and you have this stunning artwork façade!

This unusual crafted exterior look belongs to Shatto Recreation Center designed by Steven Ehrlich Architects in collaboration with artist Ed Moses.

Shatto Center’s architecture in itself is interesting enough but what holds my interest more is its designer façade!

Center’s north and south elevations are animated with abstract patterns of split-faced, sandstone coloured red bricks and glazed black concrete blocks.

Fence Designed by Studio Han Design

It is like a painting on a mud wall of India; only the modern version! A specific-design idea or specific design sensibilities seem to develop in some areas of the world automatically. We don’t like to stare at barren walls. By nature we are creative! We are designers.

You must have come across various posts about amazing designer bus stops (check my post and go here and here) in and around Russia. How did it start?

Now in Japan a new trend is developing. Fences or say specifically construction sites fences are painted beautifully.

Like these ones:

void

void

Designers: @ Creativoo

I couldn’t resist sharing these creations too of Creativoo designers with you. Creativoo is a multi-disciplinary design consultancy based in Shanghai, China.

Are you looking at these … speakers thinking why there is no sound ?!

Are you already shaking it?! (Nowadays I shake my CPU because it doesn’t get started!).

To me these products remind me something of sweet old gramophone design.

Hey! But I am not saying these are speakers or lights or some new age designer chairs!!

I am asking you what these are.

Use some brain salt and I already gave you a two hints!

tea anyone?

Designers: @Creativoo

A young team of designers @ Creativoo based in Shanghai, China have designed  these teapots based on Chinese astrological mouse.

Well the mouse is not my favourite though I think first thing I learnt to draw was a mouse!

But I love these teapots. The perfect flow, a dash of origami and a golden touch by Creativoo designers makes these pots too cute!
