A question mark born by DesignFlute
This is the most ancient self of me on this earth!
I look different now, changed. But one thing is constant – question. This is a question mark.
Who am i? I question myself constantly.
I wonder at the statement I always make in front of my kids and partner ‘don’t question me!’
Am I getting philosophical or just a little quirky?
At the moment I am motherboard-less!
But so what? Where is design? Hey! these are my designs, my digital art (first steps), DesignFlute art!
Products: making Everyday Life easy
Compressed water bucket by Se Xin
I was wondering if I had all these products, my life would had been easy and lot of fun! There are these little products, these little re-designs, these small but extremely useful inventions and in fact these great concepts which can make anyone’s everyday life comfortable. These concepts have won Red Dot Concept award 2009.
When I saw this compress-able water bucket I was very excited for two reasons: first it solves problem of urban dwellers like me who has to store water in summer many a times. Second I had thought of a design similar but with material like rubber and squarish.
I envision use of this fold-able water bucket a little differently than the designer Se-xin and I want it bigger too.
Compressed Water Bucket is a large water barrel that can be gently compressed for smarter storage. It can lead to more efficient transportation too. It can save human labour as well as resources. It is made with environmentally friendly materials.
Calligraphy by D Udaya Kumar
Do I like the Rupee Symbol? It is clean and simple. It feels like I already know the symbol. It seems yes it is the design! There could not have been any other design depicting rupee. (see my post)
I don’t think I have instantly fallen in love with the design but it is already etched in memory and I have started relating to it!
This is the rupee symbol designer’s greatest achievement and I was curious to know more about him. The first thing which caught my eye on his IDC website was his children – his green children (the image below) and I knew I had to do this post.
D Udaya Kumar, the rupee symbol designer is an architect, designer, typographer. Here is a glimpse of his typography, photography, paintings and posters.
